APSI Bench 1.2.0

This application is primarily intended for users and testers interested in evaluating CPU performance across various hardware configurations. It offers a comprehensive mixed testing suite that simulates real-world scenarios involving both single-core and multi-core processors. In the single-core assessment, the program performs calculations involving ten million random numbers generated from six distinct data types, including integers and floating-point numbers, which are representative of common operations in gaming applications. Additionally, APSI Bench conducts one million Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) computations, frequently employed in audio processing tasks. The tool also includes a rasterization-intensive ray tracing test that leverages multiple CPU cores simultaneously, with configurable core utilization parameters.

The benchmarking results are calibrated against a reference system—currently a MacBook Pro 16-inch equipped with an eight-core Intel i9 processor—scoring approximately 100 points. Users can compare their own device performance relative to this standard for an objective assessment.

A notable feature is the newly integrated long-term testing mode. During this extension, the app performs sustained ray tracing workloads across all available CPU cores over a user-defined duration (up to 30 minutes). The outcomes are presented graphically, allowing for easy interpretation. This visualization can reveal potential overheating issues or thermal throttling effects affecting CPU stability under prolonged stress.

Furthermore, the application serves as a showcase of current mobile development techniques. Its interface is crafted entirely using SwiftUI 2, incorporating sophisticated animations to enhance visual appeal. The app will be released as a universal application compatible with macOS.
